 Registration Policies

1. The Alsip Park District reserves the right to adjust or alter the schedule, cancel programs, or add programs when enrollments warrant. If a trip or program is filled, wait lists will be formed. Every attempt will be made to accommodate those persons on these lists.
2. Refunds are available only if requested before two classes of the program session have expired. A refund application must be filled out at the Alsip Park District Main Office.
There is a $3.00 administrative fee on all refunds, except when the park district cancels the program. In this case a full refund will be issued. Refund checks will be mailed out within 10 working days of notification.
3. Refunds will not be granted for one-day seminars, trips or special events unless requested one week prior to the seminar, special event or trip date. For programs with a registration deadline, refunds will not be made after the deadline.
4. There is a $50 administrative fee for Day Camp and Teen Camp refunds. Refunds are only available during the first week of the camp session.
5. The Alsip Park District reserves the right to cancel and/or postpone any program/activity one week prior to the start of the program/activity. Programs that do not reach the minimum enrollment numbers will be cancelled. In the event that a program is cancelled by the park district, the participant will receive a full refund. For additional refund policy procedures, please see number 2, 3 and 4 above.
6. Any individual or group that submits an NSF check for payment of a registration will be charged $25.00 to cover administrative costs. In addition, all future registration fees must be paid in cash, certified check or money order.
7. The Alsip Park District assumes no liability for personal injuries or for loss of personal property while attending an Alsip Park District program/event.
8. It is the responsibility of the individual or of the parent/legal guardian of the individual participating in an Alsip Park District program/event to notify the park district of any physical limitations that may restrict or impair their activity in the program/event for which they are registered. For additional information, please see the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance Statement.
9. Our programs need to meet the minimum number of enrollments by the registration deadline in order for the program to become active. It is important that you register by the registration deadline to ensure that you are enrolled in the program if space is still available. After the registration deadline, registration may not be able to be taken. If we do not meet the minimum number of participants the program may be cancelled. The resident registration for the 2007 Fall session begins on Wednesday, August 22. Non-resident registration begins on Wednesday, August 29. Fall programs are scheduled to begin the week of September 10, 2007.
10. Telephone registration will not be accepted unless otherwise specified in the 2007 Summer brochure.
11. It is extremely important for your protection and ours that all information provided to us on your forms is accurate. Please inform us of any changes. Inaccurate information will delay your registration.
