Failure to comply will result in any and all facility agreements to become invalid. |

NEW BUSINESS
Commissioner Schmitt reported that he had received correspondence from Mad Bomber for the Family Fun Fest, but the Village of Alsip’s Building Department executed the document for submission to the State Fire Marshall. He noted that the District must be especially careful next year and focus on getting the Village of Alsip to attend to the paperwork. |

Commissioner Schmitt reported that he had driven past the Skate Park and seen bicyclists using the various apparatuses inside the gated park. He flagged down an Alsip Police officer, and the two then approached the offenders. After calling the children’s attention to the “No Bicycles” sign and checking their names against a field interrogation list, the officer ordered the bicyclists to exit the park. Commissioner Schmitt and Director Huber noted that bicyclists have been absent of late. |
Par.31
** |
Commissioner Kleina asked if anyone had information on a reported plan of the Alsip Little League to “absorb Alsip Girl Softball” into its organization. Director Huber noted that she had been approached in the winter about joining forces but stressed that the discussion absolutely was not about the District relinquishing or dissolving the girls’ program or leaving it to the oversight of the Alsip Little League. She will contact Lance Martinez and reiterate the District’s position on this. |

OLD BUSINESS
Director Huber noted that the next IAPD Joint Legislative and the Program Committee meetings were scheduled for Wednesday, July 24, 2008, and the golf outing was set for Thursday, July 24th, the date of the next Committee Meeting. She went on to suggest that the Committee Meeting might need to be cancelled if three or more commissioners planned to attend the outing. Director Huber will poll the Board on availability before setting up the next Committee Meeting for the 24th. |
